Can I borrow fishing poles from the library?

Answer

Yes, fishing poles are available to borrow from the DealeMountain Road, EdgewaterEastport-Annapolis Neck and Severna Park libraries. Poles can be borrowed for three weeks at a time. They can be renewed if other poles are currently available to checkout.

Poles cannot be returned in the bookdrop.

To borrow a pole, please check our catalog for availability. When you arrive at the Library, you'll be asked to fill out the Fishing Pole Agreement Form. Poles can be borrowed by library cardholders of any age.

A license may be required for you to fish in the State of Maryland. Fishing license requirements and applications can be obtained from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
