A book I returned is still showing on my account. Can the library check?

If an item you've returned is still showing on your account, we'll be happy to check our shelves for you. Please send us an email with:
- your library card number
- the name of the item
- the branch it was returned to
- the approximate day it was returned.
We'll check our shelves for the item and send you a response as quickly as possible.
Please note that books returned overnight or over the weekend/a holiday are not checked in until the library reopens. An item may show overdue for a short time, but this will be corrected when Library staff check in the item.
Items returned to other library systems in Maryland may take up to several weeks to arrive back at Anne Arundel County Public Library and cannot be checked in until they do. Items will be backdated to the date they were returned when they arrive here. We recommend asking for a receipt when returning items to other Maryland library systems.
